ABOUT ROB
Rob Lowe is a 38+ year veteran of the aviation industry with experience in Air Traffic Control, flying and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). You can find Rob at the nation's largest airshows and aviation related TV coverage. He is also an accomplished sport Public Address (PA) announcer with over 25 years’ announcing experience. When not announcing airshows, Rob can be heard doing stadium PA for NCAA Div1 and Div2 sports, Professional Minor League Baseball, Semi-Pro Women’s Soccer and the athletic dynasty of the Aledo High School Bearcats.

Rob is a lifelong aviation enthusiast, with an incredible depth of aircraft knowledge. His aviation passion was sparked at the young age of 13 when he spent the summer with his older brother who was in pilot training for the USAF. All summer long, Rob spent every day on the perimeter road of Williams AFB enthralled with the hundreds of T-37s and T-38s flying overhead, and the rest is history. From there, his passion and knowledge of all military and civilian aircraft grew exponentially. Rob completed private pilot training as a young adult, went on to an accomplished career in the FAA, and today is an avid Remote Control aircraft pilot. Rob Lowe’s passion and knowledge of aerobatics, warbirds, and military jets allows him to quickly capture and entertain airshow audiences.

I first met Rob Lowe in 2022 while shadowing an airshow at McConnell AFB. At the time I was not fully aware of what I was getting into as a future Airshow Director, but Rob was a great resource and mentor. I knew immediately that Rob would be a tremendous asset as I built my team for the Defenders of Liberty airshow at Barksdale AFB. Working with Rob was as easy as the decision to hire him.
He's professional, timely, charismatic, flexible and engaging both in the planning and execution phases of the Airshow. As chaotic as managing an event for 160 thousand plus people can be, hearing Rob's voice deliver consistent narration connecting the airshow performers to the spectators over the loud speakers was an instant reassurance that things were smoothly going according to plan.

What a weekend! Approximately 550k came to see some of the most amazing aerial demonstrations the military has to offer.
Rob Lowe's performance was tremendous for our 2022 Great Texas Airshow. For us the stakes were high with our 2022 show being the first since the pandemic so we needed to get things right to make sure our spectators felt safe and informed. Rob created just the atmosphere we were looking for and gave the perfect blend of 1st-hand knowledge of each performer, spectacular live action commentary as well as making vital safety announcements.
